Our Firm
George A. Held, AIA started in private practice in September of 1988 after serving ten years as a full partner in a well-established architectural firm. Although it began as a sole proprietorship with a select few clients, the firm grew rapidly as its client base expanded. This is due to the simple philosophy that outstanding design and service should be available and affordable to all. From project inception through project closeout, all phases are painstakingly The Associates to the firm, John DeThomasis, AIA and Joseph A. Buda, AIA, both have many years of experience in diverse building types, including residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal. Both associates, as well as Mr. Held, are distinguished members of the AIA and the Architects League of Northern New Jersey and have won several awards for their service to the profession.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
It is our firm belief that outstanding design and service should be available to all of our clients, regardless of the project size or budget. From project inception, we strive to assist each client in the development of a sound building program. During the design phase, we review the construction budget to keep the project cost within the clients allotted range. After the design and construction documents are completed, we will assist in the selection of a qualified contractor and observe the construction to endeavor that the design is built in accordance with the plans and specifications. Each member of the firm has direct hands on experience in the construction industry. This enables us to provide our clients with the very best in the integration of design and the latest construction techniques.
